92Y’s Soundspace series in Buttenwieser Hall continues its second season of exciting artists offering their particular points of view. Israeli artists Asi Matathias, violin, and Victor Stanislavsky, piano, mark their 92Y debuts with works by Stravinsky, Saint-Saëns, Bloch and more. Mr. Matathias made his debut at the age of 14 with the Israel Philharmonic and Zubin Mehta and was immediately invited to return. He studied with Pinchas Zukerman at the Manhattan School of Music and has performed in such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv and Izumy Hall in Japan. Mr. Stanislavsky won 1st prize at Israel’s prestigious Aviv Competition, and his appearances range from St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London to the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing
