Jazz @ The Kitchen

Every Monday for over 25 years, the HUC-JIR Soup Kitchen has served warm nutritious meals to its neighbors in the Washington Square area. The student-run Soup Kitchen personifies the central role that social justice plays in the life of the College-Institute. Rabbi Harry Levin, one of the student volunteers when the Kitchen first started, recently organized a "Jazz @ The Kitchen" Solo Piano Series: inaugurated on March 9, 2015, by the great pianist Fred Hersch, Sung joins what will surely be a long list of performers for this worthy endeavor.
