Concert 3 - Guitar and Voice

Featuring a world premiere of a new commission by Ryan Anthony Francis for PNME and guitar virtuoso Mattias Jacobsson. Of the newly composed work, Francis writes:

“There is a natural intimacy to the guitar. It is an instrument a that invites you to lean
closer, to listen more carefully, to have a dialogue between performer and listener. Likewise, the
interactions between the guitar and other instruments are--to me--best when they have a delicacy
and transparency, gently highlighting contrasts of tambour and articulation that emerge through
wandering exploration.”
