Today five master musicians – most of them members of theoriginal quintet – are bringing back the sounds of this legendary era and the man who wasresponsible for its creation. The ensemble, led by Charlie Shoemake on vibraphone, includes JoeBagg on piano; Ron Anthony, guitar; Luther Hughes, bass; and Colin Bailey, drums. Each ofthese top-level artists has recorded with, toured with or taught a Who's Who list of successfulperformers. Their work has been heard on movie soundtracks, TV shows and a generation'sworth of recordings.
