Lois Martin, viola "New Music & Friends"

Lois Martin presents the world premieres of new works by Richard Festinger, Neal Kirkwood and Sheree Clement as well as works by Matthias Pintscher, Edward Cone and Philip Hurel.

The program takes place on Monday, April 7, 2014 at The Stone (Avenue C and 2^nd Street) at 8:00 PM.  Ms. Martin will be joined by percussionist Mike Truesdell, cellist Caroline Stinson and pianist Molly Morkoski.  Tickets are $15 at the door. 

Lois Martin has been dedicated to the performance of new music for over three decades. This concert honors those composers who have had great influence on Ms. Martin as a violist in the world of new music. Ms. Martin has enjoyed long-standing affiliations with four of the six programmed composers, yielding three new works for this program.
