Description:
The John Damberg Latin Jazz Ensemble presents a concert ofrarely heard enchanting Brazilian, Trinidadian, and Afro-Cuban melodies set to the hot, funky rhythms of Samba, Frevo, Baion, Choro, Calypso, Soca, Bolero, and Cha Cha Cha. The Ensemble’s original sound features an exotic melodic blend of the John Damberg’s wooden marimba & steel drum, with Laura Koenig’s flute & piccolo, and Armin Abdhodzic’s classical guitar mixed with Bob Andrews’ funky bass, and a percussion Tour De Force of Alaska’s top percussionists including Cameron Cartland & Clint Dallas jamming on an amazing array of percussion instruments.
