Quintet of the Americas

Concert Sunday, May 15 @ 2pm at Queens Botanical Garden in Flushing, Queens. Our "Celebrate Nature" concert will feature a new work by Queens composer James Cohn called "Rockaway Suite". We will also play Samuel Barber's Summer Music, Eric Ewazen's Roaring Fork Quintet evocative of mountains and streams and spring Columbines AND Nicholas Scarim's Garden at Night with Sandra Billingslea narrating the delightful poem. The program would not be complete without some short fun works by Scott Joplin and Duke Ellington and the South American favorite, Tico-tico.
