The piece takes a new look at an old favorite, as six new variations on Schubert’s famous theme are seamlessly interwoven into the fourth movement of his Piano Quintet in A Major, courtesy of commissioned composers Brad Balliett, Lembit Beecher, Jonathan Dawe, Paul Epstein, Molly Joyce, and Gity Razaz.
