Five Boroughs Music Festival's 2016-2017 season closes with a bang as we present the exciting mixed-period ensemble The Colonials in their innovative program, The Trout Variations. The piece takes a new look at an old favorite, as six new variations on Schubert’s famous theme are seamlessly interwoven into the fourth movement of his Piano Quintet in A Major, courtesy of commissioned composers Brad Balliett, Lembit Beecher, Jonathan Dawe, Paul Epstein, Molly Joyce, and Gity Razaz. 

May 6th's performance brings 5BMF to the Staten Island Museum's brand-new location at Snug Harbor Cultural Center! The Museum's beatifully restored new home features rich exhibitions of nature, history, arts and more. Easily accessible by the free Staten Island Ferry and bus service to Snug Harbor.
