The group's name means "Choro from here to there" which represents a mixture of all the musicians' backgrounds - Diogo Guanabara on mandolin, cavaquinho and guitar, a specialist in choro, Caio Padilha on guitar, rabeca, and vocals, and a from the Northeast, Julie Koidin on flute who is not only classically trained, but also a music specialist. This performance will also feature guest vocalist Camila Masiso. » The trio started when flutist Julie Koidin visited Natal, Brazil in 2014 in order to research contemporary choro. Choro is a popular Brazilian instrumental music genre that originated in 19th century Rio de Janeiro. » The musical chemistry between the musicians was immediate. Their connection shows in their unique music interpretation and the group's own compositions and those of its contemporaries.
