Martin Palmeri's Misa Tango

DCINY presents the 20th anniversary of Misatango, in an evening combining the rhythm and melodic design of tango with the ancient beauty of the Latin choral mass. Martin Palmeri’s Misa a Buenos Aires (Misatango) features a chorus of singers from Argentina, France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and the Netherlands, as well as soloists from around the globe. Richard Nickerson and Robert Westerberg conduct the Maine Festival Chorus.

WQXR’s Instrument Drive culminates at this DCINY presentation. Concertgoers are invited to donate gently used instruments for distribution to under-resourced music and arts programs in New York City and Newark. Instruments can be dropped off in the Citi Cafe before the concert and during intermission. Each person who makes a donation will receive a voucher for complimentary tickets to a future DCINY performance.
