the World Premiere of a new dance, Destination Unknown, from Cornish College of the Arts choreographer Pat Hon, set to Israeli composer Betty Olivero's suite Zeks Yiddish Lider un Tantz (drawn from her score to the 1920 silent film The Golem). Also, music by two other Israeli composers--Marc Lavry and Eugene Levitas--and a jazz-inflected sonata for violin and piano by the audacious Erwin Schulhoff. This special evening also introduced a remarkable young talent: violinist Takumi Taguchi, the 2013 recipient of MOR's David Tonkonogui Memorial Award.
