The Grammy-winning Parker Quartet [parkerquartet.com], now in residence at Harvard University, performs with a “pinpoint precision and spectacular sense of urgency” (Boston Globe). The quartet is known for its combination of “lucidity and poise” (New York Times) and “exceptional virtuosity” (Washington Post), which will surely be fully on display in a program of works by Szymanowski and Tchaikovsky, as well Tan Dun’s vibrant and imaginative Eight Colors, inspired by Peking Opera and Buddhist chant.
