Line C3 - Haruka Fujii, John Ostrowski, Sam Solomon, and Chris Thompson, are thrilled to invite you August 28th, 29th, and 30th to the Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn for the World Premiere of Sean Friar's brand new work for percussion quartet: Four Streets.
Four Streets laces a battery of contemporary percussion instruments with the unusual sounds of European street performers, inspired heavily by the "deranged one-man band" from Rome who goes by Birdman.
There will be turkish bird whistles, ankle bells, melodicas, dueling bike horns, and even Chris on marching tenors just like back in the DAY. Except without the weird epaulets (promise).
Following this performance, members of Line C3 will join up with the industrial percussive alchemy of GLANK. Created by Paul Rudolph, GLANK uses found industrial objects and anonymous performers to engineer a new kind of groove percussion ensemble.
