Tulsa Camerata

To celebrate the end of our fifth regular season, we’re bringing back three composers from our very first season. Igor Stravinsky’s Septet for winds and strings is a miniature neoclassical masterpiece, updating the traditions of Haydn and Mozart for the twentieth century. Astor Piazzolla’s Serie de angel takes us back to Buenos Aires for a set of tango-infused tableaux featuring the bassoon. Finally, Ludwig van Beethoven’s youthful Septet for violin, viola, clarinet, bassoon, horn, cello, and bass was the featured work on our very first concert back in 2010. It’s the piece that brought Tulsa Camerata together, and in many ways, it still defines what we are all about.
