Event Description:

Telemann and the Italians, our final program of the season, brings alive rich and colorful music of 17th century Italy, from the exotic and unpredictable Castello, and Vivaldi's stellar predecessor Legrenzi, to the international sensation of Corelli. Their music influenced the towering German genius, Telemann, who wrote many Italianate works including a flashy concerto for recorder, oboe, and violin, which we will perform withthe teenage recorder virtuoso, Martin Bernstein.
