Mozart and Prague

Disguised as a period music ensemble, House of Time is actually a time machine: As soon they start playing, the audience is whisked off to another era. Now, after a successful jaunt to baroque London in the fall, the group takes you to 18th century Bohemia in Mozart and Prague. The program for oboe and strings includes not only a rare setting of Mozart's Don Giovanni, but his brooding Adagio and Fugue in C minor and exuberant Quartet for Oboe and Strings as well as works by Bohemian composers Reicha and Krommer. Don't miss the group's oboist extraordinaire, Gonzalo X. Ruiz ("one of today's most sought-after woodwind soloists" -- The Wall Street Journal), play at the top of his considerable game in Mozart and Prague in The Lounge at Hudson View Gardens.
