Festival Mozaic's WinterMezzo DINNER

Western music is rich with tributes. Mozart wrote his string quartet in D minor as a tribute to Haydn, one of his six “Haydn Quartets.” And Shostakovich’s 14th string quartet was written for composer Benjamin Britten – in fact, he began writing it while staying at Britten’s home. These two meaty quartets will be supplemented by the charming Beethoven duet, pairing the lower voices of the string quartet.
